Dr. Archibald is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners and is a specialist in Canine and Feline Practice. She discovered her passion for veterinary medicine at a young age and has worked in a veterinary hospital setting since she was twelve years old (as she is the daughter of a veterinarian). She is committed to veterinary diagnostic ultrasound including abdominal, cardiothoracic, and tendon imaging in her canine and feline patients. She joined Dr. Watkins in 2004 and continues to enjoy bringing advanced imaging techniques into the small animal practices throughout the greater Salt Lake area.
Val earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University in 1989, followed by her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1993. Prior to joining VetMed Consultants, she worked for eleven years in busy, well-regarded private practices in both Las Vegas and here in Salt Lake City. She obtained board certification in 2000.
Val spends most of her personal time with her husband, two daughters, and their boxer. She enjoys her friends and family as well as snowboarding, mountain biking, reading, movies, and cooking.
DVM, MS, DACVIM
Dr. Tucker is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. She obtained board certification in order to provide compassionate, specialized care for pets with more challenging medical issues. Dr. Tucker grew up in North Carolina and attended Western Carolina University, where she obtained an undergraduate degree in Business Management. She attended veterinary school at North Carolina State University, where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and extended her training with a small animal medicine and surgery internship. Upon completion of her internship, she practiced emergency medicine in Colorado Springs. After two years, she elected to pursue her specialty in internal medicine-which took her to Pullman, Washington, where in 2013 she completed a Master’s degree as well as her residency training in small animal internal medicine.
Following her specialty training, Dr. Tucker relocated to Salt Lake City with her furry friends. In the summer she is an avid rock climber and in the winter, every free moment is spent on the ski slopes. Dr. Tucker is proud to be a member of the National Ski Patrol and currently volunteers for the ski patrol at Brighton Resort.
Doctor Bogardus is s native Utahan and grew up in
Brigham City and Ogden areas. She graduated from
Weber State University with a B.S. in Zoology, and received her DVM from Washington State University in 2003. Prior to joining VetMed Consultants in 2013, Keri practiced in a busy, respected small animal hospital in the Salt Lake area.
She has special interest in internal medicine and cardiology, and is currently working toward board certification by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.
Keri lives in the Salt Lake area, surrounded by her furry friends. She is particularly partial to her dog, Stanley Danger...(but don't tell the others). She enjoys gardening, hiking with her dogs, traveling, expolring Utah's national parks, part-time fitness instructin, and has recently taken up rock climbing.
Doctor George is originally from Naples, FL, but her love of the west with its mountains and snow led her to Colorado. She graduated from Colorado State University, with both a B.S. in Animal/Biomedical Sciences --and went on to complete her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. While in Colorado, she was active on the board of a nonprofit rescue and rehabilitation organization. Prior to joining VetMed Consultants Mobile Services, Jillian practiced in a busy small animal hospital in the Salt Lake Valley. She has a special interest in both internal medicine and critical care.
Jillian lives in Sandy with her husband and two young children. She and her husband are also the caregivers of their loving, senior citizen Pit Bull named Ty and a talkative African Grey named Kona.
She loves all things outdoors, especially skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and rock climbing with her family.
Doctor George is excited to be a part of VetMed Consultants and enjoys working with fellow veterinarians and clients in the valley.
Nikki is a Utah native and holds an Associate Degree of Veterinary Science from Utah Career College. She graduated in 2009 and passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam that same year. She has experience in small animal practice as well as emergency care. She joined VetMed consultants in 2015.
Nikki loves her daily contact with animals and has a special affinity for those short-nosed dog breeds, Mastiffs, and Bulldogs in particular. She shares her home with a variety of animals including 4 dogs, 1 corn snake, a rat, a cat, and even some saltwater fish. This menagerie keeps her busy when she's not at work or in the gym.
Drea admits she has come a long way from her early beginnings of chasing animals as a toddler to working in Veterinary Services as an Army Reservist. As a receptionist in a busy private practice in Colorado to her position with VetMed Consultants Mobile Services, Drea has utilized every experience as an opportunity to grow and improve on her set of skills.
Drea spends her free time with her husband and three young children, exploring the world and seeking out new places and adventures.
Jennifer’s love of animals led her to animal care as the focus of her career. She attended Utah Career College, receiving an associate degree in Veterinary Technology in 2007. After passing the Veterinary Technician National Exam, Jennifer became a Licensed Vet Tech. She continues to pursue opportunities in small animal practices and is excited to expand her knowledge and skills with VetMed.
She currently has 3 dogs, 4 cats, a box turtle and a husband. She volunteers with the Utah Animal Advocacy Foundation, fostering animals, maintaining their website and helping with events.
Our newest team member, Macayla, brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the VetMed team. Originally from Germanton, North Carolina, Macayla followed her older siblings west to settle in the Salt Lake area. As a CNA in North Carolina, Macayla was able to show
compassion with her human patients. Her move to Utah allowed her to switch focus to her other passion, helping animals in need of care. Her strong work ethic and willingness to grow her skills at every opportunity has made her a great asset to VetMed. When not building on her career as a technician, Macayla enjoys skiing and chilling with her family. This includes her three four-legged family members, two kitties and a loving chihuahua mix named Cooper.
Amy discovered that her life's passion could become a career in 2003 while attending Utah Career College. Since graduating, she has served our local veterinary community as a small animal technician. Amy's current endeavor allows her to utilize her knowledge of animal medicine as VetMed Consultants Mobile's client coordinator. She is your go-to contact for client scheduling and medical records acquisition.
Amy spends much of her free time with her reptiles and exotic pets. She also enjoys exploring our beautiful state with her family and dogs. Amy's perfect evening is spent around a fire with friends or enjoying a night out with live music.
